Spiritual transhumanism is a loosely defined term encompassing organizations and individuals who view transhumanism as a tool for achieving transcendence, sometimes referred to as transcension.
It may or may not be used interchangeable with religious transhumanism depending on the context. Proponents such as Lincoln Cannon have argued that whilst transhumanism is not inherently religious, it could considered a postsecular phernomomen.[1]
Individuals who primarily identify as atheists such as Zoltan Istvan may also be open to spiritualism.[2]
